Drydown Labs

Legal

Privacy

This site collects as little as possible. Here's exactly what that is, and your rights.

The short version

This policy explains how Drydown Labs Ltd ("Drydown Labs", "we", "us") handles personal data on this website.

We don't set cookies, and we don't use analytics, tracking or advertising. Fonts are served from our own domain. This page has no forms. The only personal data we receive is what you choose to send us by email.

Who's responsible

Drydown Labs is the data controller for this website. Company no. 17558784, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: 167–169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF, United Kingdom. For anything about your data, email hello@drydownlabs.com.

What this website stores in your browser

One thing: when you close the cookie notice, your browser's localStorage remembers that choice so the notice doesn't come back. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and you can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Server logs

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes your IP address, browser details and the pages you request, and keeps short-lived logs. We don't use these logs for analytics, profiling or marketing. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure, reliable website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

If you email us

We receive your email address, name and whatever you write. We use it to reply and, if you ask us to, to prepare a proposal. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We never add you to a mailing list or use your details for marketing.

Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within 12 months of our last exchange. If work follows, emails are kept with the project records for as long as the work lasts and then as long as the law requires us to keep business records.

Who else processes it

Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website and routes email sent to our domain, acting as our processor. Emails are then stored by our email provider. These providers may process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including in the United States, relying on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension, and on standard contractual clauses. We don't sell personal data or share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy
  • correct it if it's wrong or incomplete
  • delete it
  • restrict how we use it
  • stop using it where we rely on legitimate interests; you have the right to object at any time
  • give it to you, or to someone else, in a machine-readable format

We don't make automated decisions about you or build profiles. To use any of these rights, email hello@drydownlabs.com. We'll reply within one month, and tell you if a complex request needs longer. We may ask you to confirm who you are first.

You can also complain to a data protection authority: in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office; in the EU, the authority in the country where you live. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date below. When our full website launches, this page will also cover its contact form.
